Aruba for cheap?
ok maybe not cheap but not $$$.
Does anyone have recommendations on where to stay that is clean & nice & resonably priced?
Are there any times of the year that is cheaper to travel there?
If you have any other Aruba tips I'd love to hear them tia

Re: Aruba for cheap?
We go to Aruba every year. In the beginning, we stayed at the Radisson and Hyatt, but those are pricey! We finally bought into the Marriott, so now we stay there! However, my g/f goes all the time and they stay at the Holiday Inn. From what she says, they renovated it and it's great! You can choose the all-inclusive option there, but, Aruba has a TON of great restaurants, so I would opt against that! It's right on the hotel strip and close to everything! Did you ever think about renting a studio from the Marriott, Playa Linda, or Occidental? You might score pretty good with that! We usually go every October, and it's out of the hurricane path, so no need to worry about that! The busier and more expensive times are always Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter & Spring Break! I would NOT go in July or August as it's too damn hot, but that's JMO!!!

ditto to everything she said! We also go every year and stay at the marriott! I def recommend the High rise hotel area! Lots more to do, more pretty (IMO) and no need for a car (we have never rented one)....many many many restaurants in walking distance! If you asked to sit through a 90 min "shpeel" they often make it very attractive to stay there for a couple of days! My parents bought 2 weeks in Marriott Surf Club and it is absolutely gorgeous! My husband and I stayed for the meeting and got a bunch of marriott points to bank for a future vacay!

Re: Aruba for cheap?
So glad you wrote about the timeshare viewing at Marriott. If you go under marriott vacation club ownershipa and click on destinations, then Aruba and Surf Club, you will get quite the deal. I think it's advertised for $449 PER COUPLE for 4 nights, and if you travel certain times, you get the 5th night free. Check this out, you just have to sit through a 90 min presentation on marriott ownership! It's totally worth it! We did this a few years ago there, booked with a studio, then when we got there, they didn't have any so they put us in a 1-bedroom! It was awesome, and so we bought!!! LOL

Re: Aruba for cheap?
Ok so sorry to keep writing, but I keep remembering more things. Check out VRBO.Com or RedWeek.Com for renting a timeshare. You might score great with those!
