If you have Cablevision and movie channels...
Have the movie channels (such as HBO, Showtime, etc.) been "skipping" for you lately? I'll be in the middle of a movie and it will start doing this strange thing where the sound skips and the movie gets all pixelated. And eventually it goes black and comes back, but keeps doing this over and over again.
It has been happening on BOTH of my cable boxes so I dont think its the box. I have yet to notice it happen on the regular channels.
I'm pretty mad and frustrated. We pay to have those channels and I havent been able to watch one full movie in the last week or so.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or if maybe it is just my boxes.

I haven't really noticed. But when that does happen I usually reset my cable box.

Re: If you have Cablevision and movie channels...
You need to call up cablevision. I was having that same problem and apparently it's the connection.. when they checked our connections, apparently one of the splitters was no good. Once they fixed it, it was fine.
I would check it out yourself (by checking connections and trying to call them up and have them help you) first to be sure that it's okay. You don't want them to come out and say it was your fault and charge you for the service call.

It hasn't happened to us but I'd call & complain. You can ask for credit back but I think they assume you'd call if there is an issue.

I get this all the time since getting the HD box. Never happens on the regular box.
It happens only for a few seconds though. If it was more than that I would complain.

Always, Cablevision SUCKS! I always lose movies and then when I go back into active rentals they are gone, and its within the time frame for me to review them again!

we had this problem 2 years ago and it was the connection - I finally called and it was fixed in 20 minutes.
