My Paver Project - Opinions please
So our paver project has begun this morning. We are very excited to finally get started. It should be done in two weeks.
But I need some opinions please. We want to add a third color to our pavers. We are getting Nicolock pavers. The outside border will be Charcoal and the center will be Granite City Blend. We want to do a second border color and that is Bayberry Blend. So it would be the Charcoal on the outer edge, then Bayberry Blend as the second border color and the the whole center color will be Granite City Blend.
Diagram of our property. Not 100% perfect, but it's good enough for everyone to get the picture.
Paver Colors
The circle of pavers in the back/sideyard and the Fans in the driveway would be Charcoal.
So it would sort of look like this, but not has red, because the Bayberry Blend has red and gray in it.
So what do you think? We just wanted a pop of color and not for everything to be grey. Our house is light grey and the roof is dark grey.
Would you do the circle & the fans in the Bayberry Blend as well or make it the Charcoal? I'm thinking too much red probably.
LIFer: tj2008 had this work done and we just loved her double border. She has different color pavers then we will be installing, but this is what our double border will look like. tj2008, just gorgeous. Thanks for the inspiration of the double border.

I think that you have so much gray that 50/50 bayberry and gray (both shades) would be great. Also, red tones go great with your golden/yellow tones in your plantings.

You mean in the double border with the 50/50 of the two colors and the center being the lighter grey?
I hadn't thought about the red tones with the plantings. Thanks. We even have red in the backyard area, so tht will pop more I guess. Thanks for bringing that up.

Nice! Our house is light gray with a black roof and we did our driveway, walkways, front steps and back patio with bayberry blend and charcoal border. I love it!

if you think it will be too much red, can you do the border of the fans and circle in bayberry and inside stick with the charcoal? Similar to this?

Melissa, great ideas. I'll have to print the pics and see if that is something we can do. He has to find out if all the pavers we want come in the colors we want. Thanks!

I just thought you could get the pop of color you want without the commitment of ALL the color bc you seemed a little unsure of all of that being red.

No it's a great way to get the pop of color but not too much. I already showed DH the pics you posted and he said it's a good idea. We now know that the fans & circle does come in the Bayberry Blend, so maybe we could do what you suggested. I'll talk with the contractor tonight or tomorrow morning. Thanks!

Jen, I agree with Melissa in my opinion it will be too much red, a border of the fans and circle in bayberry and inside stick with the charcoal. Also, ask Fernando what he thinks, he was great at giving his opinions on the colors and the border

Thanks for your opinion. Hope you didn't mind me using your picture in my post. I'm def. going to talk with Fernando about the outline of the circle and the outline of the fans in the Bayberry.
