RC or NCL
DH and I are going to Bermuda in August. We originally booked RC but it is only 5 days. For only a little more I can take NCL. Can anyone give me any reviews of either cruise line in general? I really need to decide soon.
TIA

Re: RC or NCL
I've been on a cruise to Bermuda with both cruiselines. I thought they were both great! The only reason I went with NCL first is because of the Freestyle cruising and the fact that you had more dining options if you didn't want to dress up or sit a table with people you didn't know. To my surprise, when I cruised with RC, the dining was great! There was a formal night but every other night you had to dress nice but not super fancy and if you didn't mind waiting an additional 5-10 mins, they would seat you at a table for two instead of dining with strangers! That was huge plus for me! Also, with RC I found that the rooms with a window were cheaper than on NCL even though they were basically the same size.
With RC I went on the Explorer of the Seas and with NCL I went on the Norwegian Dawn and both ships were beautiful!

Re: RC or NCL
We did NCL Dawn to Bermuda for 7 days. We prefer RCCL but we wanted to be longer in Bermuda.

Re: RC or NCL
Just took an NCL cruise in Feb . I had been on them before and was addicted to the Freestyle cruising concept (we hate the idea of eating with strangers). I have to say, I was a little disappointed.. the food in the main dining room was pretty bad, and we didn't want to shell out the $$ for the specialty restaurants.

Re: RC or NCL
I was disappointed that there was not much "snacks" around (in the afternoon and night) as I like a little peice of cookie or cake or something.

Re: RC or NCL
We've only cruised with RC and that will be the only one we continue with. It's just too great not to go with them.

Re: RC or NCL
I have actually not cruised either but I recently went on a cruise to Bermuda(Celebrity) and was docked with NCL and heard multiple passengers say they very disappointed with NCL. I enjoyed Celebrity so much that since RC is of the same line I would cruise with them.

For me, NCL would never be worth a little more.

Re: RC or NCL
RC RC RC !!!!!!!!!!!
I hate NCL....I will never go on one ever again...too many negatives!
Freestyle cruising is not all it is cracked up to be! If you want a "good" (more like better) meal you have to pay extra!

Re: RC or NCL
RC. All the experienced cruisers I have ever sailed with say that RC is the better of the two. All I've ever sailed is RC
