Jcrew has some nerve
So I ordered this dress for $88, and it was an online exclusive so it was not in stores. The tax and shipping came to $18!  That is a significant fraction of the dress. This is why I don't order from Jcrew, but I had to this time because I love the dress! But I'm still mad

Was it not in the catalog? If you go into the store and order it from the red phone in there.. shipping is free!

They charge shipping by order total (which I think it is a total rip off) - the fees are on their website. Sales tax is the same in store or online.
Didn't the order have total including shipping & tax before you authorized it?
