Stuffy Nose & Teething?

How common are the two?

Joey is SO SO stuffed but is not sick & happy as a clam just minus the massive amount of boogers stuck in his little nose.

A friend of mine said that stuffy noses could also be from teething, anyone else experience this?

my poor little guy,he was SO mad at me this morning using the aspirator but WOW those suckers work.

it definitely can be related. fever can too, but not a high fever. my aspirator is awesome! at first DS fought me but then he realized..."wow, this thing makes me breathe" so now he sticks his face out like..."suck them please!!!" Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

YES! 100% true... teething is cold like symptoms and can even have a slight fever. DS had a low fever and was moody for a couple of days with a runny nose. All from teething.

Just keep an eye on him. Use the humidifier, nasal aspirator, nose sucker, warm baths, Vicks, etc. If he's moody you should try Tylenol or Motrin.

Re: Stuffy Nose & Teething?

DS was a late teether (1st tooth at 13 months) and he ALWAYS has a stuffy/runny nose when a tooth is coming in. The problem that we end up having is that it makes him cough all night because all the mucus drips to the back of his thoat when he lays down to sleep. Then it also gets into his ears and he ends up with an ear infectionChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon This has been a constant cycle since January

he kept waking himself up last night coughing too b/c of it dripping (when he's up right he's perfectly fine!). Should I try to elevate him? (which is near impossible b/c he rotates in his crib)

DD's nose wasn't stuffy when her other teeth came in, but right now her 4th eye tooth is coming in and her nose has really been runny. I have a hard time wiping her nose and unfortunately she will wipe her nose on me Chat Icon

yeaaaaaaaa Joey did this, this morning. After I tortured him with the nose sucker at 530, I let him fall back asleep on me b/c I felt so bad and UGH, harden boogers=gross LOL! (but worth it, in a weird gross way!)

So glad you posted this Travis has had this minor cough and a little stuffy, but its not a cold. I thought maybe allergies but now i am wondering if its teething. he also has had so much drool that sometimes he makes this gagging noise
