Cruise to Bermuda
DH and I are planning on taking our honeymoon in August. Has anyone ever been on a Royal Carribean cruise? How was it? Also how was the water choppiness in the Atlantic during the summer?
Any info would be appreciated.

DH and I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise to Bermuda about 8 years ago with his family, during the summer (I think it was June, but I don't totally remember). I have also been on Caribbean cruises, and found that cruising the Atlantic to Bermuda was definitely more rocky overall. The cruise itself, as far as service, entertainment, food, etc. was very good. My MIL and SIL were sick for a lot of it though, so overall, it wasn't a wonderful trip. If I were to go back to Bermuda, I would prefer to stay in a hotel on the island. I love Caribbean cruises though.

I'm cruised to Bermuda twice; and as the PP said it's more rocky than cruising to the Caribbean. If I take a Bonine I'm fine.. then again I take them regardless even in the Caribbean because I don't want to risk being sick.

Like the pp said it is rocky plus the ships they use are the smaller ones so you feel it more. I have cruised and stayed in a hotel there and prefer the hotel...but that is because I was sea sick for 2 days going down

We went in August 2008 on NCL to Bermuda and I didn't find it to be rocky at all.

I cruised to Bermuda twice on Celebrity and don't remember it being rocky at all. The only time I remember kinda feeling sick was on a Princess cruise that left from Florida and it was because of storms. I think it's hit or miss depending on the weather.

Royal Caribbean is GREAT! But, we cruised to Bermuda 2 years ago, and it was definitely more rocky then going out of Florida! I also think it has something to do with the ships themselves, they are somewhat smaller cruising from NY to Bermuda, so you do feel more! The ones out of Florida are much bigger now, so you tend to feel less.

I did Celebrity from NY to BErmuda in the last week of June and it was pretty rocky. However, it's a great trip and I would go again

I am going on Celebrity Summit, July 25th for my 30th Birthday
I have been once before, and Bermuda is usually a rocky ride, but if I prepare and take bonine it works very well for me

I'm going on July 17th! This will only be our second cruise and the first one was to Bermuda also so I can't compare it to Caribbean cruises.

We're going on Celebrity in August...can't wait. We've done a number of cruises Feb to Carribean & Aug. to Nova Scotia...you'll be fine...
