Those having girls! How was your MS in the beginning???

I'm asking because so far I don't have MS. I didn't have it with either of my other kids, and they were both boys. I was just wondering if everyone having a girl always had morning sickness or not? I've heard yes, but was just wondering. I didn't know what my chances could be having a girl since I don't have morning sickness? I have the everyday nauseau and nothing tasting good, but that was the same wtih my boys. Maybe my body just handles PG better than other girls or I'm having another boy? Chat Icon

Thanks! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Those having girls! How was your MS in the beginning???

I had very wierd "morning sickness" I would have to eat something substantial every 2 hours or so or else i'd get really nauseous and light headed (and this includes waking up in the middle of the night to eat). But I had no food aversions or anything. I ended up gaining 10 lbs the first trimester alone because of that!Chat Icon

I'm 23 weeks now with a girl and I have not had any MS. It is my first so I have nothing to compare it with.

Re: Those having girls! How was your MS in the beginning???

I had horrible morning sickness... well actually all day sickness. I would literally walk around my apartment gagging, I threw up in the middle of the street once, running from bed to the toilet!!!

It lasted a good 7-8 weeks.
Im having a Chat Icon

No morning sickness at all with my girl.

And to crush another "scientific" wive's tale- I am carrying ridiculous small and in front. Classic boy per the wive's tales.

I am 38 weeks and my MS was all day nausea- until 17 weeks! I didn't vomit, but I had little appetite and always had a queezy stomach. Not a fun ride.

Re: Those having girls! How was your MS in the beginning???

When I was PG with my daughter, I had MS but it was only when I didn't eat something. Nothing sounded good in the beginning so I wouldn't eat in the morning and I would get sick. Once I would eat, I felt totally fine.

My MS was much worse with my first son than with any other of my pregnancies.

Re: Those having girls! How was your MS in the beginning???

mine started at 7 weeks on christmas eve with morning vomitting and constant nausea through out the day. i threw up every morning pretty much from 7 weeks-18 weeks and had constant nausea. the vomitting has finally stopped but i still get waves of nausea every couple of hours.

First time around I had a Chat Icon and had no MS. I was nauseous but never threw up at all.

This time I am having Chat Icon Chat Icon twins. I was pretty sick for the first 12 weeks. I thought it was because of the twins and more hormones, but maybe the girl has somehting to do with it.

2nd Chat Icon for me and no MS with either! IMO MS is not related to sex of baby.

I didn't have a drop of MS with DD, I had only the slightest nausea with DS if I didn't have breakfast soon enough.

My friend is a labor and delivery nurse and she said that twin pregnancies generally make you sicker regardless of the sex.

I'm having a Chat Icon but my mom told me when she was pregnant with me she never got sick but with my brother she was sick virtually the entire time (I was first).
