ALlergies/head cold - what is the best to take?

Hi girls...want to run out to CVS quick to grab something for this awful cold I've come down with...which I'm sure is allergies related.

Just called the dr. b/c I was unsure of what we are allowed to take. Surprisingly there is a lot we can take...now I don't know which will work best to make me feel better quick...my shower is this weekend and I want to feel better.

My symptoms are:
- watery eyes
- congested at times...runny nose at other times
- started with sore throat but that has gotten better
- head just feels all clogged up like it's about to explode

OB said I can take:
Benadryl
Benadryl Allergy
Robitussin
Claritin or any of the other allergy meds (Allegra, Zirtex)...

What do you think is best?

I know that different drs say different things are okay, but I think the general consensus is that Allegra is a no-no. That is what I used to take, but now I use Zyrtec. Claritin does nothing for me. I also use the Zyrtec eye drops for itchy eyes.

thanks - I ended up getting the Benadryl Allergy Liqui-Gels - pharmacist seemed to think that would work best for my symptoms - he stressed "as long as your dr. says it's ok"...they don't want to be held resposible for recommending anything to a prego woman which I can understand.

You should also try the Neti Pot. It's weird at first, but it works really well and all it is is water and salt.
