Can you please show me skirts for the full figured woman?
I'd really appreciate pics. I am so out of touch with fashion. WIth the warmer weather I am looking into any alternative to pants.
If you know full-figured carpis, I'd love to see them too.
TIA!!!

Did you try websites for Lane Bryant, Avenue and Catherine's? They should all have skirts and capris. I'm a big girl and I LOVE skirts, even just above the knee ones...got good legs at least!
Oh, and Target has greaqt, very fashionable plus sized clothes too...I saw a few skirts at the Medford one.

Try Lands End, J Jill and Eddie Bauer. Bought great skirts there last year, that I lived in all summer.

Avenue, Lane Bryant are good. Never heard of Catherines, will have to check that out!
There is also a store Torrid in the Sunrise Mall. They are very young and trendy. Not a big store, so unless you are in the area, I wouldn't make a trip just for that.
Also Dress Barn can get some nice stuff too.

Catherine's is a little more for maybe older women or work clothes...I have one right by work so I pop in here and there.
Didn't know there was a Torrid in Sunrise Mall, love that store, the one in Smith Haven closed a few yrs ago. Tx for the info!

There is a store in Plainview called Alight with some trendy type stuff. I hate how I look in dresses/skirts and i think I have worn them about 3x since my wedding almost 5 years ago! I get most of my capris from Lane Bryant.

I just ordered some from Old Navy on line. Not sure how they'll fit though.

Re: Can you please show me skirts for the full figured woman?
Kelly -
I am more bottom heavy so I have a hard time with skirts - but I always read in magazines (and practice this) - don't opt for too long - get a skirt that goes up to the thinner part of your leg. It gives it a nice shape.
I tend to always go for just above the knee and fitted - not tight - but fitted enough to show my curves...
You know who has nice skirts in all sizes? Fox's. I'm not sure what size you are, but when I had adrenal burnout I put on a lot of weight and was about a size 14 for a while. I bought some great things from Fox's....

You might really like myshape.com.
You plug in your measurements (you have to take quite a few), fill out a section to let them know how you like you clothes to fit you (loose on the legs, tight on top, whatever) and then it serves almost a like a personal shopper.
It's worth checking. I am going to fill out my profile tonight.
eta here's the link
