is that bad?
Charlotte has been really fussy today and pretty inconsolable. However, it is REALLY hot in our house (wehave all the windows open since our window AC's have not been put back in yet)
She was in a long sleeved undershirt so I just took it off - could that be causing a temp or do you think I need to call the dr?
She hates the heat so that could explain her fussiness as well.

IMO (and obvi I am not a doctor) no, it isn't.
My ped ALWAYS (even when he was tiny) told me not even to call until his temp was 101.3.
AND NBs are warmer at night anyway
Maybe give her a cool bath a nd put light PJs on her and she will cheer up for you

Since you just took off the undershirt I'd give her about 30mins to cool off. If the temp is still above 100 I'd call the doc just to be sure. She is only 6 weeks so I'd rather err on the side of caution. JMO.

It is a fever at 100.4 in a baby that young. Been there. DS had a few low grade fever's at that age. Just keep an eye on her. She could be brewing something..

Anything over 100F & I would call the doctor & let them decide.

Re: If a 6 week old has a 100.1 temp.....
thanks ladies!
I know her temp wasnt high but she is just so young!
I took her in our room with the lights off and windows open (coolest room in the house) and she passed out. She just woke up to eat & her temp was only 99.1. So i'm thinking it was just the heat.
I dont know why im such a nervous wreck this time around!
