I use Marran Oil. Just got my new budget for April 2010-April 2011 and it is $154/month. This is a savings of $33/month from last year--Chat Icon

Do you have a service contract with them?

Yes. It costs nothing and free check up once a year.

Oh wow awesome ! How much per gallon did you lock in ? Were you a returning customer? Meenan charges for the service plan for the next year after your a new customer. Which I am not liking. I am not sure what their going price is for oil yet, as they said to check after 4/15 for my new pricing.

We haven't locked in a rate in a couple of years. They just estimate what we use. My parents used Marran before we bought their house and personally we have used them 13 1/2 years.

Re: How much are you paying...

I am with Marran as well. We are paying 145 a month this year. Last year we paid 150 per month and wound up with a surplus so we haven't paid our oil bill since January.

My service contract is $200 a year and it is included in the balanced billing. I asked if they would reduce/eradicate the service contract - but they could not. I think it has to do with the type of boiler I have (the Marran 2000). I absolutely LOVE Marran - they have great service, come when needed and have never let me down so far.

No - I haven't. The oil prices have been soooo all over the place I was too nervous to do so. As a contract customer I get a discount on the daily rate when they deliver.

I'll have to look on my next delivery as we get a card in our mailbox.
