Ear infection or 2 year molars?
3 weeks ago, jacen had a slight ear infection. Was put on 5 days of antibiotics. Didn't work. Took him to ped and now he had a double ear infection. Today is day #10 of the new antibiotics.
The past 2 nights he's been getting up EVERY hour. Last night it was actually every 45 minutes. Lucky us.
But then the past few days he hasn't been eating much either and he didn't even touch his cereal or lunch yesterday (which i know can be from an ear infection too). 2 days ago he had a fever.
I can't see inside his mouth to check.
Is it possible that his ear infection hasn't gone away? what then? This is his first ear infection issue so i don't have too much experience with it.
Or do you think 2 year molars could really be causing him to wake up that much at night? He has had multiple fingers in his mouth lately...

Re: Ear infection or 2 year molars?
Nick's been experience the fingers in mouth and night wakings too - so I attributed it to 2 year molars. He has had several double ear infections and they've always cleared up after a 10 day antibiotic.
Is he still congested/mucousy??

I think teething causes ear infections--all connected and that is is probably just having a really hard time. Poor thing.
Maybe the dr can give him something stronger.

Thanks girls!
His ped couldn't see him today, so we're bringing him first thing tomorrow morning.
