Ordered Bamboo Shade from Blinds.com with pictures
Awhile back I was looking for something that would give us privacy at night over our master bedroom and living room sliding patio doors...
We decided on bamboo and after ordering a TON of samples we finally found something that didn't need a privacy liner (b/c the strands are woven tight) AND it matched our flooring beautifully...
We ordered for the bedroom sliders first (privacy is more important in the bedroom and the doors are smaller!) as a test and we are really happy with it - I have another shade on the way for a window in the bedroom and hopefully we'll have the money to order the shade for the living room next...
The installation was easy - DH and I had them up pretty quickly and they came in 9 days after we placed the order...so far I am very happy with Blinds.com
Here are some photos (please keep in mind the bedroom is a work in progress!):
I like to keep the shades all the way up during the day so I can go in and out easily and let in all the light:

Nik I love it! The color is awesome. Love how it looks in your room. And you are welcome for the recommendation.  Glad you were happy with the blinds too and that you will order the rest for your home. I'm sure you will enjoy them for years to come. Enjoy!

Thanks. The wall color is BM Marina Gray....it's similair to BM Adagio which seems to be a popular color choice but I think the Marina Gray is a little less deep and a little less blue...

Go to Blinds.com - choose Woven & Wood Bamboo. There are a few different types of shades that you can choose from - mine are under Premium Woven Wood Shades - here is the link:

Ours is Cinnamon 85 but there are tons of different patterns to choose from.
What is great about the site is that you can order 10 samples at a time for free - you don't even pay for the shipping.

i think our sliders might be taller than the standard b/c we have tall ceilings...for the bedroom slider we ordered 71 1/8 wide x 94 3/8 high
the living room sliders are a lot bigger - almost 2 feet wider than our bedroom sliders, i think 93 wide x 94 high
i tried HD, Lowes, Overstock, etc. but couldn't find anything sold as-is that would fit our measurements - so that is why we went with the custom cut...
one thing you have to keep in mind is that the base molding will get in the way of the shade when you try to lower it all the way down to the floor...if we ordered to accomodate the base molding we would have had a gap on each side of the window the whole way down. we didn't want gaps on the sides so we ordered to fit the space perfectly and at night we lower the shade so that it sits right above the molding - even though we ordered the shade to roll down to the floor it can't because the base molding is in the way...it's just one of those things you have to deal with when ordering a window shade for sliders...
