What shoes will your toddler wear in the spring/summer?
I recently bought DS his first pair of walking shoes:
I have no idea how long they'll last, but do you think they're okay for the spring/summer? Do I need to get him a pair of sandals or other sneakers too? We'll definitely be going to the beach several times this summer.
What will DC be wearing in the warm weather? Where did you buy the shoes? Post pics if you can. TIA.

I usually put DS in canvas sneakers, linen boat shoes or a pair of sandals.

I think you ones you have will be too warm. I got these for DS last year because I felt they'd protect his toes. He also wound up loving his Crocs.

Got these both from Stride Rite outlet
he also has:
white & red adidas sneakers
water shoes for the beach(childrens place)
cheaper payless sandals for the beach & getting wet

I'll probably get DD sandals, and lightweight sneakers for DS. I'm not a big fan of sandals on boys, just a pet peeve of mine.

DS wore something like this last year at 15+mos and will be wearing similar ones again.
I like that they are open so they are cool but the toe is covered so he shouldn't stub his toe.

i'm surprised so many people already have bought their dc's summer shoes. don't your kids feet seem to grow quickly?! my dd only last a couple months with a pair and it's only April 1!

I like these open shoes and they should work well in the warm weather. Probably a dumb question, but does DC wear socks with these shoes?

Im in NC, so we're wearing them already! It's already in the 80's here!

That's exactly why I got them! My cousin is a pediatrist and said he's too young for open toe sandals!

That's why I haven't bought any for my DD yet. She outgrew ALL of her winter shoes and boots by a size and a half - and I purchased them half a size bigger than what she had measured!! So I'm waiting a little longer before getting her sandals.
But I'll be buying what Tine posted.

I buy them big. Right now she's wearing a 7.5 or8. I bought 8.5 and 9. And I can always return them. I feel like the selection sometimes goes quickly esp since she has wide feet so I like to buy early and take advantage of early sales.

1. She'll be barefoot whenever possible (and safe - relax).
2. Just got her crocs today -- someone posted about the clearance the other day so I got her 2 pairs. Also 1 pair of white mary janes for Easter. That's it for now....

My DS wore these last year. And b/c he's a bit of a weirdo about it, he insisted on socks with them all the time, even at the beach.
