If your dd ever cut her own hair (particularly her bangs)
Can you please share pics of what you did to fix it? G cut the middle part of her bangs weeks ago (just about to the scalp) That section is halfway down her forehead now. I really want her to look good on Easter but i think its still too short to even out and cut straight across. Clips dont work as she takes them out and the hair also falls out - just a bad length.....
Heres a bad cell pic from a week or 2 ago (the rest of her bangs are really long - i was holding off on getting them cut until i figured out what i could do)......

Re: If your dd ever cut her own hair (particularly her bangs)
I don't have a DD who did this... but I did this when I was 11. It was a few months after my mom died and my poor dad had no idea what to do... he trimmed the rest and then I would use a little hairspray to make a little wave in the front.... it was the late '80s so it worked, I guess. I am sure your gorgeous DD could pull off any hair-do! GL finding a solution....
here is a picture with my aunt and uncle a few weeks after my attempt at trimming my bangs....

I don't have a DD, but could you try a headband to push all of the bangs back?

No....they stand straight up with a headband. Plus she takes ANYTHING I put in her hair out....
eta: if i set the headband back a bit they fall right out the front...

Oh boy. Maybe just take a wad of gel and do it up like "There's Something About Mary"

My DD did this right before Christmas the other year. Unfortunately I had to just let it grow out, she cut hers down to the scalp also.

Bumping bc I really need some help/ideas. We are going to the salon tomorrow to have something done, so if I cant come up with anything better, her bangs are getting cut straight across!

Re: If your dd ever cut her own hair (particularly her bangs)
Michelle, I am a hairdresser and I can tell you from experience, there is not too much you can do other than clips The best thing to do is get the rest of her bangs trimmed and wait it out. It seems like her hair grows fast, so that is good. As far as punishment, a BIG frilly Easter Bonnet will do!
Edited to add: Looking at the picture, you may be able to trim her bangs and blowdry them over to the side and actually cover the cut section( you will need a little hairspray to make it stay)

Re: If your dd ever cut her own hair (particularly her bangs)
I would just cut her bangs shorter than usual ----NOT as short as the part she cut but shorter so it blends better. You are just going to have to wait it out.

Re: If your dd ever cut her own hair (particularly her bangs)
My daughter Alexis did this right before preK graduation...
I slicked back her hair into pig tails and used hairspray to keep it in place...
I also would pull her bangs back with tiny pony tail holders. Then I put those tiny butterfly clips over the pony tail holders...

Re: If your dd ever cut her own hair (particularly her bangs)
I'd have her bangs trimmed shorter, just not as short as where she cut it. Ask them to make them a little choppy to help blend it. And then for next trim, hopefully it's grown back enough to give an even across trim.

Re: If your dd ever cut her own hair (particularly her bangs)
what about make the bang fuller? (like cut the part "above" it to cover it?) I saw Rosie O'Donnell on the view today talking about the menopausal cut she got, where underneath was shorter, so maybe it could work in reverse???
(does this even make sense?? i am exhasuted and just waiting for another screaming fit from the bad teether here.....)
