Re: How Long for CO-OP

From accepted offer to closing for our co-op was about 4 months, but it took FOREVER to get a meeting with the board.

Re: How Long for CO-OP

It also depends on the board, we have a VERY laid back board. They handed us a copy of the rules and then it was more or less and meet and greet.

same here for us- the lady was really nice and very informative- more about what living there was like

from offer-closing it was about 2 1/2 months for us- we had to fill out a pack of papers for our board and then like a week later they scheduled our meeting

Mine took from a May accepted offer until October closing.

The buyer had to fill out the paperwork first, provide documentation of everything shes ever done in her life, bank appraisal happened in Sept and we closed 10/15.

So 5 months. But it really depends on the board.

Re: How Long for CO-OP

It really depends. The co-op my parents live in has a very strict board. They are definitely not in the norm. I would think a few months depending on board approval.

Re: How Long for CO-OP

about 3 months. honestly it depends on how quick people move. involes alot more paperwork. things can be sitting on people's desks for days unitl they get signed... if they are on vacation, out sick. etc... or just plain inefficient.
luckily when i bought & sold mine it went pretty smoothly but had to deal with agents & lawyers who didn't move as quickly as i liked Chat Icon
