I just used a generic afrin spray...is that bad?
I just CAN'T breath!!! with these allergies! I know I can take Claritin (reg) doesn't do too much

I used it for 3 nights in a row when I had a bad cold last month. I don't think it's the worst thing in the world--IMO, it was better to get the sleep than to stress out because I couldn't breathe.
Now, if it's something you're planning to do on a regular basis, that's probably something to discuss w/ your OB.

it's pretty much pseudophed I believe, but the BIGGEST issue with a nasal spray like that is when it wears off, it causes rebound stuffiness, which could be worse than you had before. the more you use it the worse it gets. I would probably use saline nasal sprays like Ocean, or a netti pot. Works much better IMO

I had a cold two weeks ago and found that putting Vick's VapoRub under my nose before bed REALLY helped clear out my nose and let me sleep better...
