When to start physically seeing houses?
So DH and I have been watching MLS (well, I watch MLS and report to him) for a while now....we've thought about moving on a house a few times, but we know we're not quite ready.
We have a plan for the next year that will put us ready to jump late winter / early spring next year.
So when would you start looking at houses in person? DH is afraid that he'll see a house and fall in love and not be able to move forward. I think we should go and see whats out there because 1 - It MIGHT still be there next year and 2 - It will help us know what we want and what we don't want.
When did you start seeing houses in person? Is a year in advance too far??
TIA

Re: When to start physically seeing houses?
I agree with Beth, it does not hurt to go to some open houses and that way you can get an idea of the area you want, "must haves" in a house and things like that. I would not call an Agent, especially if you are not looking to make a move on anything until next year.
On the other hand, there is a possibility that you may see something now you love so be prepared to walk away if you are not ready.
