Please recommend what works for your infant.

Mine isn't a cryer, hes just getting so fussy and wants to be held or fed all the time.

We also have a peg perego viagio car seat, are there any swing bases that we can plug that into?
TIA

I think graco makes something that you can put their car seats in to make a swing..not sure if it would work for yours.

I had a very small travel swing. It didn't take up my room and did the trick. I am not sure of the brand but there aren't many of them so it would be easy to find. It was beige.

The ones that take batteries, how often do you need to replace batteries?

I couldnt be bothered with batteries and drove myself absolutely crazy finding the FP swing that plugged in. I had to finally breakdown and buy it from BRU online and pay the shipping but worth every penny since at nearly 5 1/2 months old, DS still uses and loves it!

We had the papisian FP swing that has the netting and had lights around it, DD LOVED it...for the first 3 months, then she managed to wiggle and worm her way out of it by 4 months so we had to pack it up. The bouncer was also our go to savior. I know some kids just dont like the swings period. Good luck and enjoy!

We have the FP Little Lamb Swing. I would say with good batteries, we got a solid 2 weeks and that thing was on non-stop. We are going to buy the rechargeable batteries for it.

I registered for the Graco Sweetpeace which has great reviews - the carseat can be attached (not sure if other brands besides Graco would work). You can plug it in or use batteries, and the seat comes off and is also a rocker or bouncy chair.

We have the Fisher Price Rain Forest portable swing. It works great. Don't change the batteries often. It has 5 speeds and music. DS has been using it since he was about 5 weeks old and now at 5 months old he still loves it. We tried the swing made for the graco carseat. Great concept, but it was so loud while it was swinging, that we had to return it. DS couldn't sleep because it clicked so loud.

We had the fisher price starlight one and it was wonderful. I was so sad when he grew out of it by 4.5 months, he had some of his best naps in there!

same here! it does take batteries though. (C) We bought rechargeable ones (a kit at costco - comes with the batteries and a charging kit-- you can create different sizes using the same batteries using the tubing provided). it was a life saver. only cost $19.95 - we would have spent a LOT more on batteries with this swing.
