Club Attire

I have my nieces 13th birthday this weekend @ a country club and on the invite it says "Club Attire", but no JEANS. I'm in my early 30's and I hardly ever go clubbing, but if I do I usually wear jeans. Usually I have no trouble dressing myself, but for some reason I'm having tons of problems with this occasion, because I don't want anything too low or too tight, because it is a kids party. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!!

stupid question, ready for it?

do they mean "country club" wear? like sweater & pearls & khakis?

or..."club" clothes, tube tops, hoop earrings, & booty pants?

only ask because it'd be so funny if you show up wearing one genre of clothing and the party is for the opposite effect.

you can't go wrong with a dress, right?
something you can incorporate into your spring wear, KWIM?

That's what I was wondering. I would have assumed "country club" or "dress casual" attire, not "clubbing" attire.

Not a stupid question at all. When I RSVP'ed I actually asked my sister in law the same question, and she said No, Club attire, meaning big earrings, high heels...etc. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

No doubt.

I would wear leggins & a nice dressy tunic with heels. (If you dont want to wear jeans)

Also, try ArdenB.

Re: Club Attire

I would wear a cute little dress, with big hoop earrings, a nice necklace and bracelets. Leave your hair out so that it is flowy with lots of volume. Of course anything that I suggest will always have a pair of sexy stilleto's included.

Re: Club Attire

I think a short dress, heels and make-up will be good. Luckily it's a teen party, so the pressure is kind of off. The kids will be in their own world.

Edited: thought it was a sweet 16.
