Double Baptism- Thoughts?
My DD#1 is 20 months and is still not baptized. I was going to do it in the Sept timeframe but I got pregnant earlier in the summer and have had a very difficult pregnancy and there was no way I could pull it together (I could barely leave the house). DD #2 is due next month and as I think about the baptisms which has been a major stressor for me (DH could care less) my parents are telling me that I should baptize the girls together once DD#2 is 4 months or so. What are your opinions on this? It feels silly for me to split it up but then again I worry people will be put off by a double baptism. I am just not sure what to do and would love some honest feedback. Doing DD#1 baptism before DD#2 comes along is not an option due to timing and because I am also having a tough time with alot of pain during my final stretch of this pregnancy.

Re: Double Baptism- Thoughts?
I would totally do a double baptism in this case! I'm not sure why people might be put off by it ... Do you mean because they would have to give 2 gifts? Or another reason?

Excellent idea -- a double baptism would be convenient for you and your guests. Go for it!

my neighbor just had her 4th kid..none of the others are baptized. she said she is going to do them all together and have one big party.
i think a double baptism would be a great idea. and your older daughter might think its cool that she gets to do it with her little sister.
