What kind of Sephora shopper are you?

When I go to Sephora (which is actually rare these days since I have grown to prefer the dept store counters) ..... I find there are people who walk around with those baskets and fill it up with anywhere between 5-10 products.

I never buy like that. When I go to Sephora I look at things really carefully.. ask for samples.. go home and check out the reviews... etc. Then I'll go back and usually just buy like one or two things at a time.

So, what kind of Sephora shopper are you?

I'm the kind that buy one or two things and walks out thinking "HOW THE HELL DID I JUST SPEND 70 BUCKS?!!?!?!?"

Well, since I usually know what I want and where it is in the store, theoretically, I would go to that section, get what I want and then pay.

Unfortunately, it doesn't happen that way.

What usually happens is this: As I'm walking to what I need, I almost always get sidetracked by something else, and end up with extra stuff. Extra stuff = big price

the register area for me is DEADLY. THere are so many good little point of purchase things there that I ALWAYS GET SUCKED INTO BUYING!

I can never walk out of Sephora without spending 100 bucks.

I'm an impulse shopper at Sephora. (I'm like a kid in a candy store. ) I've never walked out of there spending less than $200, but 200 doesn't go very far in that place! Same could be said when I order from them online.

I check out reviews on Sephora.com and MUA, but I've found that I very often have to check out the products for myself to see how they work for me. (Example: people rave about Smashbox Photofinish Primer and I hate it. I feel the same way about LM Tinted Moisturizer.)


I love bringing my 3.5 yo DD in there with me. She gets just as excited as I do over all the colors.

I mostly shop sephora online now instead of going to the store because its harder to impulse buy that way . I wait for emails and coupons from them and I load up on the free samples they give and thats how I wind up trying new things most of the time...

If I go to the store forget it! It could be a financial disaster!!

i can actually circle the displays and not find ANYTHING! It's rare that I buy anything @ sephora.

Generally I only buy preselected items. Sometimes I will be sucked in to buy an additional indulgence, spur of the moment item, but that is it. I don't know enough about makeup/etc to know what is good without looking up reviews online!

I am the type to buy a mix of things: mostly stuff that I use on a daily basis and are essentials, mixed in with a few fun things like a new lipstick or eyeshadow.

I seldom buy spontaneously. When I do buy, it's never more than 2 things, usually 1, and it's something I saw on line and read reviews of. This ensures that I'm happy with what I bought, usually. I find that I am more likely to be unhappy with drugstore stuff I can't test and I'm always too lazy to return stuff there.

Sometimes I buy 2 things, sometimes 10. Depends on what I need or what sucks me in.

I ususally go with a plan--base don reviews or to replace something, but I get distracted by the pretty colors & tempted by the point of purchase bins. . .and

I am the type of Sephora shopper who goes there once a year bc I cannot be trusted...

I am NOT a big clothes shopper and can resist in a clothing store...

get me around makeup--I buy everything in sight
