tip?
i have been going to the same stylist for about 5-6 years and she just recently left the salon. i found her on fb and was happy to find out she is cutting hair out of her home.
i just made my first appt to go to her home and she is charging the same price for a haircut as she did at the salon. ($40) i have no problem paying that amount but i found it odd. usually when people cut hair from home they charge less. also - her home is further away from where the orginal salon was and will prob take me 30-40 mins to get there.
so now since i know none of this cost is going to the salon - do i still tip her?
im not sure what to do. help!

Re: tip?
I did not tip my hair dresser when I
went to her home.
Maybe she is charging same price to
make up for no tips???

Re: tip?
Thats a tricky one... I would not want to but I'd feel really bad not doing it. I think I would tip her anyway because i would want to avoid that weirdness.. kwim?

Re: tip?
Honestly, I wouldn't.
I go to someone in their home (mom's friend). She charges $13, I give 20 bc 13--come on--that is TOO LOW.
But in your case I would just give $40...it's all profit for her

Re: tip?
I think the $40 is sufficient.
