I always use motrin . If the fever is really high you can use both ,but not at the same time I believe motrin every 6 hrs and tylenol every 4 hrs

Motrin kicks asss for fevers. But it is a bit harsh on the stomach so it should only be used after DC is 6 months old.

ITA. Even now, my DD will be 3 in June, she has to have a FULL belly before I give her Motrin or she'll vomit...we can never give it in the middle of the night b/c her belly is too empty even then.

motrin is great- when they are younger its recommend to use when temp is over 102

thanks so much for the responses. Actually just got back from PM pediatrics, DD was 103.1. They gave her motrin after I told them I just gave her tylenol...so she got a dose of both! Ear infection...and I was convinced it was teething.
