Post-Partum Hair Loss and JHS
Looking for advice -
I am almost 7 weeks post-partum. Don't know when the hair loss will begin, but I know it will happen. I used to have gorgeous thick thick hair which has MAJORLY thinned out over the years due to PCOS. I am coming up to NY next month and desperately need to do something with my hair. It's almost two years since I got JHS - had it last done in June 08 - was planning on doing it again when I came up to NY last summer and by then, I was PG. My hair is long and looks ridiculous - it literally looks like I have two different hairstyles- the bottom is all straight and the top down is wavy/frizzy - but that part is not long enough yet that I can suck it up and just cut off all the straight and start from scratch - w/o having a super short haircut. When I was pg, I would iron my hair - now with a refluxy and colicky baby that I can barely put down - don't even have a chance.
So - in any case, I need to do something but I am kind of scared to get JHS and then start losing my hair and seriously look bald - I totally will - my hair is really thin.
Any advice on what I can do? Did anyone who gets JHS get it soon after having baby? How was your hair? What happened if/when you started losing due to PP hair loss?
Thanks.

just a tidbit - go back on pretnatals and your hair will improve the extra iron and folic acid helps!

I would def wait, bc the hair loss will get worse before it gets better at least for me it did

I had it done 1 month PP. I lost hair at 4-5 months, now a little over 7 months, its stopped falling out (knock on wood).
