Well, frist off thank you for all your kind words in my family topic.
I just got back from the doctor and I found out that instead of a microscopic lumbar discectomy I need to get 2-3 of my disks removed and plastic ones put in!! I can't stop crying. I was all set to have the other surgery and now I am having major back surgery. He even told me my biggest fear and that is I wil have back complications during pregnancy if I don't have this done!! My biggest fear is being pregnant and having to be in a wheel chair.
I am really so scared! Has anyone known or had this? If so please tell me everything (good and bad!!)
I'm sorry Tracy. Please don't lose your faith. Stay positive. Think that it's best you take care of this now vs. later and maybe dealing with a worse situation. Keeping you in my prayers!!!
Thanks for your support guys!! I feel like I am having a nervous breakdown. My husband is still being a D**K. Thankfully I have my mother!! I feel like I shouldn't have to go through this!! I am only 24 and I have been having complications since 21. I am grateful to have all of your support!!
I had a decompressive lumbar laminectomy in January of 2004. If I tell you that my quality of life has improved IMMENSELY will that help??
Sure the operation was scary as hell, I hated being in the hospital, recovery was painful and difficult...but 2 months after the surgery I felt like a new person.
I am sorry you are going through this, I know how scary it is. But in the end you will be so much better off!!!
Who is your surgeon and where will you have the operation?
