Viva papertowels and warm water... so much cheaper too!
We finally moved to senitive wipes about the time she went to daycare.

From birth. We brought them to the hospital with us. We always used the sensitive kind.

ETA: We have always used the sensitive, non-scented alcohol-free wipes.
Same here. I started using them right away without asking the ped (DS pooped up his back an hour after we walked into the house) and when I did ask the ped, he had no problem with it.

same...she had no reaction whatsoever. i say go for it. if you're nervous about it you can always get the "Sensitive" ones... i never bothered with those, but i always get the unscented ones.

I didnt know you werent supposed to use them on a newborn  My Dr never said anything so we used them right away

We used the swaddlers sensitive since he came home from the hospital and did not have any issues with it.

i started using unscented sensitive wipes at 2 weeks. thats when the hospital wipes they gave me ran out.
DS hasnt had any diaper rashes.
