Spending money for the week!

So how doable is this? $80 spending money till Friday!!! We are renovating our bathroom and just spent LOADS of money at Lowe's. So we are short now for the week. Hubby takes lunch every day and I am a SAHM. Do you think we could do it!? What's the least everyone has had for spending money for the week?!

Absolutely! I think you can do it.

I get paid on Mondays, and I usually keep about $45 in cash for myself....and by Friday, I usually still have $30 left.

If you're bringing lunch from home, $80 is good. You really shouldn't be spending money during the work day, since lunch is already handled. Maybe gas is the only thing you'd need to spend on.

$80 for one week...I'd probably be left with $60 at the end of the work weeK!

on my budget, i give myself $100/month for "ME" money. i think you can do it!!!

This is just for yourself not including groceries, gas etc? Oh yeah sure I think that is a lot of money esp. since you bring lunch.

Depend on what you need for the week...food, gas etc.

I only give myself $20 to spend (lunch 1 or 2 days- bring the other days)

Then another $50 for food for the house (shop sale items, walmart and target for items that I know are less there)

And $100 for gas ( tank and a half a week...live in long beach- RE0 real estate agent - with open houses in coram so I am in my suv 7 days a week)

I spend less than $20 Monday - Friday most weeks.

I walk to the train station and walk to my office from Penn. I bring my lunch to work 99% of the time. I don't have time to go out during the week. I do drive out to my barn, but rarely go through a tank of gas a week.

I do buy Lotto twice a week. Occasionally, I'll buy a snack or gum, but usually not.

I give myself $60 a paycheck.

That's $30 a week and I usually still have some leftover.

If it doesn't count gas, then most definitely.

If we have gas in the cars and food in the house, we can live on $40 for the entire week for incidentals.

If I didn't have to fill up with gas, I probably would come home with $80 on friday. I rarely buy anything during the week...maybe a quick stop through dairy barn for milk/eggs.

If gas doesn't count, then yes that should be enough.

I give myself $20, but I bring my breakfast & lunch to work. It doesn't count gas though. The only thing I really need spending money for is coffee.

I am not giving that up.

The less money in my wallet, the less I spend. It takes a lot of thinking to take out the credit card.
I bring breakfast and lunch to work, just buy my diet coke from the vending machines.
I'm good with about $50 a week, sometimes less, sometimes more.

I give myself $40/week-$20 for gas and the rest usually goes to the kids for something--

Even with gas, I'm able to to roll w/$80 a week. My car takes about $25, and I carpool w/a coworker also. I only get lunch out on Friday. I'm quitting smoking also. I don't really need money during the week, just gas.

I drive a LOT - usually $45-50/wk for just gas.

$80 is realistic.
