What formula is your baby with reflux on?
Xavier was originally on Similac Early Shield and the ped put him on Alimentum along with Axid. I'm not sure if the Alimentum is right for him. His ped said I can try switching to something else but wasn't sure what to try.
I had a can of Similac Soy here so I tried that but he now has diareah...not sure if it's from the Soy or not. I was thinking of trying Similac Sensitive or Good Start. I tried both with Rylan and the Good Start worked better for him.

I supplement my BM with a bottle of Nutramagin by Enfamil and he takes prevacid in the morning

have they tested his poopy diaper yet? I am just worried if the alimentum didn't help that he has an allergy and that switching the formulas could really hurt him. Chloes gut was bleeding so badly from the 3 formulas we tried before we found out that it took 3 months for the bleeding to stop...
Goodstart etc are all going to be too rough if you already tried alimentum.
IMO Ped's don't know enough about this and I wouldn't trust their opinion....If he is not better on the alimentum, you should really see a pediatric GI ...they know more about meds too and which are best for what.

Enfamil AR. This was my DD's 6th formula in 4 months and it worked. She was like a completely different baby when we switched her onto this.

Enfamil gentlease with axid. I stopped giving him axid and he did somuch better.

we are on alimentum and was giving him zantac.
we started with similac advanced from the hospital, then similac sensitive, then isomil and finally alimentum. we tried too many too fast and it sent DS into a tizzy. the soy did not work well for DS at all.

DS is on Elecare and was on Axid. Since upping his solid foods to 3x a day, he hasn't needed the meds!! Woo HOo!!!

We went to Alimentum, but then switched to Nutramigen (same idea, Alimentum is Similac, Nutramigen is Enfamil.) Something about the Alimentum just didn't agree with her.
She also takes Zantac.
Your ped. should also have done a stool test to test for blood to ensure it is reflux and not an allergy.

DS was on Nutramigen for a while. But he is now on Elecare because of a severe milk protein/soy allergy. He was on Zantac for 2 months and is now on Axid. Alumentim killed his belly. The Nutramigen was working pretty good but he still had blood in his stool...

We started on Early Shield then got switched to Enfamil Gentlease which was horrible and finally to Alimentum which has worked well. DS takes zantac too. Be careful switching formulas so often, it takes time for their tummies to get used to a new formula and switching too fast can be harmful. And as another poster said, if its a problem you should see a ped GI, we did.

DS was on Alimentum & Axid but he was still having blood in his stool & projectile vomiting so he is now on Elecare & I have to put rice cereal in it as her has a milk protein allergy too.

I found that Enfamily Lipid and bm worked best for Emmy.

Similac RS or Enfamil AR.
we used both, it never bothered DDs belly so which ever they had in the store is what we used... we also used the RTF. powder does not sit well with here.
also, i wouldn't put DS on soy formula... if you can steer away from it i would.

No Donna. His ped doesn't seem to think we need to go that route yet. I don't know what to do about that yet.
