Montauk with 13 - 14 month old
Our son will be 1 years old at the end of May. We are looking to go away with the baby this July. We want to do Montauk during the week for 3 nights.
Any suggestions on hotels that would be good for a 13-14 month old. We want a pool, small kitchen, close to town and the beach. Thanks so much!

I would stay somewhere in town ...that way you are in walking distance to everything.

No, not really, but it isn't IN town either.
I agree with Morgan that being in town makes it easier to just walk around and enjoy the town.
Sorry, I don't know much about the hotels b/c my parents own a house

The manor is not at all in town. However they do have a shuttle that will bring you to and from places.
However the Royal Atlantic is in town, which also offers a free full breakfast each morning of your stay! 
Keep in mind that the motels in montauk are not updated. They are motels, not hotels. 
ETA: or Atlantic Terrace you could look into.

We usually stay at the Atlantic Terrace. I love the location, pool, deck, beach, everything. But like a pp said it is more of a motel. You have the option of a mini kitchen too which was nice with the baby.
Last year we rented a house.

I always say this to people, don't expect a Marriott Courtyard or anything like that, they are motels!

We stay at the Royal Atlantic. The resort on the ocean was recently updated. There is a pool right on the ocean which is nice and great with the kids.

We only want to go for 3 nights & the Royal Atlantic is requiring 4 night minimum.
Does the Atlantic Terrace offer rooms that have separate bedrooms - suites?
The beachcomber seems the best option. I know it is not in town but it has a pool and is walking distance from the ocean. Do you think that motel is good for us with the baby?

Beachcomber is nice.
They are tiny though, but I don't know all of the options, I've only been in the studios and the "big" house...
Just to let you know, you have to cross Montauk Highway to get to the beach too. Plenty of people do it, and I've seen plenty of people do it with strollers. But its just an FYI

We stayed at the Surf Club last June when DD was 14 months old. It was perfect for us. Right on the beach, had a kitchen, walked to town to shop, eat, go to church. The only problem we had was the stairs in the condo, we had to block them with chairs b/c we did not think to bring a gate.
We had such a great time in Montauk, I can't wait to go again someday!

We stayed at the Ocean Resort Inn, which is across the street from the beach and a very short walk to town. Very convenient, clean, and quiet. The owner is crusty, but whatever.
