if you have wrinkles now..
did you have oily or dry skin years before?
just trying to find out if what i heard was true or not...that oily-prone skin is hard to get wrinkly, whereas dry skin is more prone to wrinkles.

I don't know - I haven't read anything on that...
The thing is we're going to get crow's feet and fine lines on our faces - we talk, we laugh, we cry, we frown - life is going to eventually show itself on our faces no matter what!
But any derm will say that the best way to prevent wrinkles: stay out of the sun and wear a full spectrum sun screen.
Other ways to take care of your skin
don't smoke / quit smoking
hydrate, hydrate, hydrate
lay off the sugar / eat a healthy diet
lay off the alcohol
Though I have oily skin and am wrinkle free still - so maybe there's some truth to what you've heard - that would be sweet.

whenever i complain about my oily skin my derm tells me it means i will never have wrinkles
i am sure she doesnt mean NEVER but she said that oily skin keeps its elasticity MUCH longer.

Yes I have read and heard (mostly on TV ) that people with dry skin do get lines and wrinkles earlier in life than people with combination or oily skin. But it also depends on how you take care of your skin and also genetics.

I've heard the same thing. When I went to get a facial once the lady who gave me the facial told me that.

I have heard this as well. However, I have dry skin and although I am 32 I have no wrinkles or lines. I have been using moisturizer since I was 18 (my mom is a product junkie and got me hooked young).
I also have a fuller face (even though the rest of me isn't) which I think helps - everyone thinks I am like 24 -plus my mom also looks really young.
So I guess what I am saying is that dry skin can be a factor but it is a combination of things.

It makes sense but my aunt has very dry skin and she has very few wrinkles at 58. She has always used a lot of moisturizer since she was in her 20s so I don't know if that has something to do with it.
