STAR program
We filed an application for the STAR program before the deadline to see what kind of reduction we'll be getting in our taxes. How long does this usually take to reflect?

We filed in time for this year so the next tax bill would be mid-year I'm assuming?

It depends on where you live (Nassau or Suffolk). If you filed before January 1, 2010 in Nassau, you will see the reduction on your 2010/11 school taxes - the tax bill comes out Oct 1, 2010.
They don't institute the reductions mid-year.
