Locked out!

So yesterday, after closing, DH and I went to the new house and ran around the rooms, toasting with champagne and surveying our new territory. We're in Philadelphia now visiting family, and we got a call from the sellers: they went back to the house to get the last of their stuff (with our permission) and were locked out! When we left yesterday, DH locked the doorknob lock which they never used - there are 2 deadbolts above it - and they don't have the key on their keychain. And neither do we! They didn't give it to us. It's in the kitchen, hanging on the wall. Chat Icon

So here we are, so excited to own a house, and we can't even get inside! I would think a locksmith would charge a lot more on a Sunday than on a Monday and we should just wait, right? So frustrating! I just want to be there all the time and we can't get in the front door!

Anyone know a good locksmith in the Wantagh/Seaford/Levittown/North Bellmore area?

Re: Locked out!

LI Locksmiths in Hicksville...oh, and when you move in, get yourself a spare key and a key lock and hide it somewhere that you can get in in the event that this happens again...experience speaks!
