Home Reconstruction Pics
We bought our home Jan '09. Moved in June '09. Here's the progression pics. 
Kitchen:
From kitchen into Dining Room:
Walking in front hall (the paneling cave)
Master BR:
In LR looking towards hallway (kitchen wall to the left)
Bathroom:
Knocked down the wall separating LR and kitchen
After wall was knocked down (island taped out on floor)
Walking in front hall
Island starting to be built
Bathroom DONE!
From LR looking into hallway (no more wall!)
Master BR (we are buying furniture finally)
DR
Kitchen looking at LR

NICE WORK!!! 
I really give you guys credit for seeing the potential in a house with all that paneling and hideous carpet. DH and I walked in and out of places like that because we just don't have the imagination. And now you have a house that's done totally in your style, just how you want it. It looks fabulous!

ok did anyone see that light in the kitchen. what the h*ll was that?  I guess your house wasn't updated since the 60's? can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the home. Congrats!

 EVERY single light fixture looked like that. Seriously. It was a throwback to an old Italian grandma's house from the 70's. Wait till you see the basement. That's our next project!

It's my fav. color and I convinced DH to do it. Everyone said "purple...don't do purple" and now they all LOVE it.

I give DH the credit not me! I could NOT picture anything at all!! I was horrible.

I Agree! every old house we saw, we say No Way! sometimes I would see potential but $ wise it wouldn't work.
You guys did an amazing job! I love the purple accent walls!

I can't even get over the before pics, its insane thinking that people actually lived there and never redid a thing!!!

Looks great! My house had the same kitchen cabinets when I bought it! I burned them in my fireplace! And they were only from 1982. I thought for sure from 1960's. I also had plenty of paneling and drop ceilings. Great job, I know how much work it can be.

We were VERY lucky. We lived in a mother/daughter with DH's parents. We didn't have to move out at any certain time so we did the work and waited until it was done until we moved it!
