Installing ceiling fan?
Ok, be honest... is this difficult? Can we do this on our own (with no prior experience) or will we need to have it professionally installed? If installed, WHO would do it? An electrician?
We live in a coop and we have a fuse box so I know we could cut the electric for that room easily... but not sure about the actual installation of something heavy like a fan. Don't want it to crash down on top of us in the middle of the night!

Re: Installing ceiling fan?
do you have a ceiling fixture where you want the ceiling fan? if so its just a matter of connecting the wires. if there is no fixture there now then its a little more difficult.
and yes if you have someone in to do it you need an electrician

Re: Installing ceiling fan?
we're going to be doing this in our middle bedroom. there is no existing fixture, so we will have to hire an electrician to do it.

Re: Installing ceiling fan?
if there is no existing fan then you need to buy the brace for it. I am having our electrician do it because i have never done it before and i honestly have no clue.
