do you find that as you get older, you get bolder??

i'm starting to turn into my grandmother

i'm seeing myself, epecially in recent history, get a little bolder and telling people exactly how i feel. i'm not VERY bold, yet. but i'm seeing a difference.

i'm less likely to just take what people are dishing.

i'm kind of liking this new me

Yup. I am usually pretty good, but sometimes, things come out of my mouth and I think------$hit------did I just tell him/her what was on my mind about them.

I find myself speaking more of my mind than I did when I was in my early twenties. I think it has alot to do with me being more comfortable in my own skin and not caring so much what others will ultimately think.

Yes I do. More at work then with friends and family. Sometimes I wish I was more bold with friends and family. When I first started my current job I let everything slide and never had a backbone with certain things. Now I am more bold and tell people how it is.

In some ways I am LESS bold. I am naturally outspoken but as I have gotten older I think I have become more tactful.

Yes, but for me it's a confidence thing. As I get older, I'm not so concerned with what anyone else thinks of me and I'm more sure of myself. So it's not that I'm bold in the rude sense, but I have the confidence to speak my mind now.

I have mellowed a bit with age. In my late teens and 20's I was VERY blunt. I think it came from being a rather shy and sheltered child. Now I think I am finding a balance somewhere in between too blunt and the timid little girl I once was.

No -actually the opposite. The older I get, the more I'm learning that some battles are just not worth the time or energy.

Im the complete opposite.

The older I get, the less bold I am.

I've learned to bite my tounge a lot more and pick & choose my battles. I rather just walk away & say nothing in certain situations.

I used to be very vocal with my feelings. I think the old I get, the more reserved I have become. My solution is to just weed out the toxic people in my life so I can filter out the potential for future nonsense.

Not bolder necessarily, just more of a "not giving a cr*p what people think" attitude and not taking BS.

Yes! And I am trying to find a balance between being assertive and aggressive. Not an easy task!

I have never spoken up when I was younger but as you said as I am getting older I think I am getting more bolder, but when i confront I saw it in a comical way as well as saying my point.
