i hate going to get my hair "did" - anyone else?

i go once a year for a haircut
mainly because i always hate it and am unhappy...and then i always regret it.

i go today...

Good luck! I never liked it either. With curly hair it seems most stylists are SHOCKED when you don't blow it out every day. Sorry, I'm lazy! I finally found a stylist now who loves the curl though so it's much better

Twice a year, I get a $10 haircut at my house. I have the most basic style (side swept bangs and layers). I only go to a salon if I have a wedding to go to.

I am SOOO with you!

I have very fine, hard to handle hair- it takes a lot of coaxing, product and hair extensions to make it look good.

Whenever I get my haircut they do the cut just fine- but they blow it out to the point of utter flatness.

My hair cannot be blown out straight. I don't have enough hair or enough body in my hair to wear it pin straight.
I look like an a-hole.

They don't get that.

I walk out of the salon- drive home as fast as I can (preferably in a car with tinted windows) and hide inside or take a shower and redo it right away.
I wont' even run an errand afterwards- that's how bad it looks.

I try to keep up with trims every 4-6 weeks because another lovely side effect of fine hair is split ends and damage left and right- but forget about them styling it.

I hate it. It iss o awkward,and I'm not into small talk and stuff. Also my bangs are NEVER cut short enough never ever, so I feel bad saying to cut them shorter every time.

My stylist is AWESOME and my hair always looks great (long bangs or not!) but the entire scenario is just so strange.

I hate it too. I only get my hair trimmed 2 or 3 times a year, just to get rid of split ends. It might sound weird but I HATE getting my hair washed in the sinks at the salon. It hurts my neck trying to hold my head up, and I don't like the water getting splashed on my face. And I NEVER let them blow my hair out after. It's straight anyway so it's not necessary and it's just annoying having them pulling at it with the brush. I just leave with it still wet.

I am sooo the opposite, I LOOOOVE getting my hair cut!

Sometimes though what I can live without is the chatter.... I often feel like I have to be in the mood for a long conversation when I go to get my haircut. If I'm not in a chatty mood, I know it's not the day for me to get it done! But yea, I totally look forward to it!

Hate it!
I've never had a relationship with a stylist.
I only go when my hair is so bad I can't get a comb through it.

I hate small talk, I don't usually like the way my hair comes out & I can't still still for that long. I also hate to spend a lot of money because I will hate it anyway.

The last few times I went to a place in a mall, and wanted to shop, so I bring a hair band to put it up after, b/c it always comes out weird.

I think my last hair cut was in early November, which isn't bad, but I am not going back to that salon, so who knows when I will find a new place. it is just starting to look good now that it is growing in.

I don't mind it, but I very rarely go because I don't have the patience. I only get my hair done when I'm in a wedding, and I never go for cuts, I have been cutting my own hair for years because I have a very basic style.

I get VERY self concious when I go get my hair cut. As a PP said, I don't blow it out every day and I don't want to be expected to do so. Plus, i don't look like those girls. Never will. I always feel out of place at a hair salon.

I hate my hair everytime I get it cut. God only knows why I continue to go to the same girl who cuts my hair like **** over & over & over.

I have an extremely basic style. Long straight & parted in the middle. The only reason why I even go to get it cut is to get rid of the split ends.

I like getting cut but not color..that takes forever and $$$.

I like to blow it out myself due to the flatness that is the blow out for fine hair. Nobody has done it right yet.

I love going - but I get scared

tonight my BF Aunt is cutting and coloring my hair at her house (trying to save $$ - I do love the salon experince but this is free)

I am having her cut 2 inches off...that's huge for me- but my hair is gross

I can't wait!
