Re: Spinoff to starter home

I could go either way. its a nice house in a good SD and there is a good amount of space in the house but only 3 bedrooms the master is big but the others are pretty small. I would like it to be forever though.

Starter - we bought a 1 bedroom co-op.

I'm pregnant right now, so we'll probably be looking for a forever home in the next couple of years.

Re: Spinoff to starter home

its what we feel is our starter home because we havn't owned anything before and don't plan to stay in it forever, but it could totally be a forever home.

I refused to buy a home that we could not grow in, have kids etc. With the economy they way it is, you really just never know. so I didn't want us in a situation where we HAD to get out because we out grew the house but couldn't because the market was terrible. We plan to have kids in the next few years so buying anything to suite our needs now only would be silly.

It took a while to find it

But who knows, we might stay forever!

We didn't spend a forever home price, that's for sure!

Forever home. A family could grow and live here and be comfortable.

Re: Spinoff to starter home

Ours is a starter - 3 bd 1 ba ranch and very small. However, we have a full unfinished basement that we would like to put a den and bathroom in, and we love the location, so if we decide to or have to stay, we can (we don't plan to have more than two kids).

Re: Spinoff to starter home

We bought a forever home. Its not my dream home but it is a nice home, big enough to have a family in but just a small kitchen that I wish was bigger. We will hopefully be starting a family soon so I think we'll be in this house for a long time Chat Icon
