When did you stop using the infant carrier? Recommend your convertable carseat.

I guess I don't have a lot of upper body strength, but it's really hard for me to manage the infant carrier. DS was 15 pounds last time he was weighed (carrier goes up to 22) and is 23 inches. I think for my car I would definitely like to start thinking about a convertable seat instead of the carrier. When did you stop using the carrier? Recommend a good convertable too please. TIA!

I used my carrier up until 11 months. Yeah DS weighed a ton at 21lbs but it was convenient for us. He just reached the 29" height limit for the seat (32lbs was the weight limit) and we bought a convertable. We got the evenflow symphony 65. So far we love it.

My first son hated hated hated the infant seat and was out of it at 2 months.

Tyler is going to be 4 months on the 15th and is about 18lbs now. I'm keeping him in as long as possible for the convenience factor. It is so much easier, especially with having an older one.

We didn't stop using the carrier until about 11 months, but I stopped bringing it in and out of the car around 5 months. At that point she was solid enough to hold herself up walking in and out of the house. Plus it was getting too heavy for me to carry with her in it. Plus by 5 months it was warm and I didn't have to worry about her being cold going from the car to the house.
