Re: Developmental checklist
Bump...because it helped me so much with my first DC. Now I'm on DC #2 who is 11 weeks and I'm going to start filling this out again. It helps me to know what skills to be on the look out for or to encourage through play. Hope other Moms find it helpful too.

Re: Developmental checklist
It says not crawling is a red flag...is this an old list?
I thought crawling was no longer considered a milestone

It says it's from 2006...adapted from 1994. It isn't completely inline with what my ped. gave me, but it's pretty close.

A red flag is just an indicator that something COULD be wrong. While it's not an official milestone, if your baby isn't crawling by whatever month, it *could* signify other problems.
Personally, I don't know of any baby who entirely skipped the crawling stage.

I don't think it is either, but only in the context that some babies skip crawling and go straight to cruising and walking. If they don't do that, it would be a red flag.
I know of babies who walked first and crawled later and in that case it wouldn't be a red flag at all.

I do....
This list is a general guideline and should be used with caution. There are variations with every child....
