weird food strike. shots related?
Logan got his 6m shots yesterday (he'll be 6m next saturday - didn't that FLY?!)
He will NOT eat solids since we came home from the appointment. He gags when it's in his mouth. He actually projectile puked up the 1 spoonful he swallowed yesterday. I've even tried feeding him ONLY cereal (even changed consistency from normal to thick to runny; still no luck), then ONLY his favorites (apples and bananas, sweet potatoes, etc.). He gags and spits it out.
He's definitely hungry - he's guzzling bottles. I'm filling them more than usual bc he isn't taking solids. I even put cereal in 2 bottles today just to make sure he's getting enough.
This is very very out of character for him. This kid loves eating like he loves his mama.
Any BTDT advice?
Thanks

no teeth yet. white bumps and swollen gums for 2.5 months now, but no breakthrough. Not drooling more than usual either.

Re: weird food strike. shots related?
Landon usually refuses food right before a tooth comes through. That might be it! He never had that kind of reaction to shots, unless he got a fever. His appetite is barely there when he has a fever.

Re: weird food strike. shots related?
DD refused cereal and her fruit and veggie purees for about 3 days after her 6 month shots. I was worried but she started gobbling them again on the 3rd day.

REALLY - I was beginning to think I was nuts for thinking they were related. Thanks!

Re: weird food strike. shots related?
DD just got her 6month shots on Friday and I noticed the same thing. She doesn't want solids and is only drinking 1/2-3/4 of her bottles. I was going to ask the same question this morning.

Re: weird food strike. shots related?
DS didn't have that problem after the 6 month shots, but like Landon did eat significantly less when his teeth were coming in (but that was accompanied by A LOT of drool and fussiness, etc.). Hope the little guy feels better soon!

Re: weird food strike. shots related?
Awe! Feel better Logan!
I don't have much advice. DS didn't have a reaction to his 6 month shots and doesn't have any teeth yet so I don't know if it is teething related. Although DS has been drinking a little less the past couple of days, maybe his teeth are finally coming in!
