Chi 44 Iron Guard
Is anyone else not a fan? Does it make your freshly blow dried hair feel gross and sticky? Then I feel like it is making my hair smoke once the flat iron hits it. Is that normal?

Re: Chi 44 Iron Guard
Hmm is it possible you're using too much?
I used to use this stuff and really didn't like it... then I went to the hair salon and saw she used it and noticed I was using it the wrong way! She spritzes it on very lightly and then waits for it to dry completely before gliding the iron through. When I do it myself I hold it far away from my head, spritz a few times, flip my hair over and spritz a few times, pass a brush through so it gets on more of my hair, and then wait for it to dry while I plug in my iron, etc.
For what it's worth- I started using it again and yesterday at my hair appointment she told me my hair was in great condition! (although I also started using sulfate free products so that could also be what contributed to the good condition)

Re: Chi 44 Iron Guard
I have fine hair and it probably weighs it down. So, I should hold it far away and just let the mist fall down? I don't have to make sure that every section gets it? Once it is dry, do you run a comb through it before you use the iron? I find it difficult to comb it but maybe it will be easier if I just mist my hair.

Yea definitely hold it far away and let it mist on your hair. If you brush it through, then it will get more of your hair. I do it with my head straight up and then flip my hair upside down and do it again, just so I target the max amount of hair.
I'm no expert, but see if this works for you!!
ETA: and def let it dry before using the iron!! If you mist it and comb through, it should dry in like 2 mins
