those who have verizon
We are switching today, and Ive heard that when your bill arrives and fees/surcharges and taxes are included your bill is higher than the quoted price.
How much higher did you find your bill was in comparison to the quoted monthly cost once all fees were added in?

We switched when we move christmas week. We got our 1st bill and it is completely wrong so it hard to know DH is trying to get it fixed.

Our first bill was a little higher then it is supposed to be monthly, i dont remember how much, but it did say that the next bill certain things would be applied and it was then correct after that

we switched last summer and every couple of months, its wrong. i usually wait for 2 more billing periods before i call to get the charges credited. its a PITA, but once you get them to credit you, you get more bang for your buck than Cablevision.
and its silly things like charges per call local & regional. once it was a charge for an international call $240, even though i had a special package for this. another time it was a charge for something they said they would give to us for free as an incentive for moving from Cablevision to Fios.
just keep an eye on your bills, get names of people you speak to and keep records of conversations.

we have never had problems but then again DH pays that bill so I never see it. But we had a small issue in the beginning....not anything that would make me even talk bad about them and when we called to aska question they gave us more free stuff so if you do have issues once you switch always ask for free hbo or something.....they want people to stay with them so they will give you things

They charged us for HBO and cinemax that we get free for 3 months and for the multiroom dvr which was free as written in our package and I forget what else.
We have had several problems w/ the set up and now the bill. We never had problems w/ optimum so it is frustrating - we only switched b/c the new house was wired for fios and they gave us a great deal so we figured we would try them.

We never had any problems with the bill. We did have problems with the fulfillment of the promotional item (Best Buy giftcard)

have never had a problem with our bill. the first bill was a bit higher than normal but that was b/c it was a pro-rated billing period plus a full one. went to normal the next month and has been fine ever since.

We have had them for 10 months now and I have called about my bill probably 8 out of the 10 months. The bill is always wrong, but they are very nice about correcting it.
Supposidly because my billing was int he middle of the month the computer was billing me twice and they said it will def be corrected by the next bill. They even credited me some months of free cable because I had to call every month......
