About 30. We'd go out on Sundays and hit a bunch of open houses, found very few that we actually liked and both agreed on

i think it was just over 10 maybe 13 or 14 houses i dont exactly remember

I'm going to guess and say about 60. We looked for over a year.

We looked at about 40 houses. And lost one in contract 2x before finding "The One."

Over a hundred. We were looking for 1 1/2 years.

We went to A LOT of open houses for about 5 weeks, trying to get an idea of what neighborhoods we wanted to look in, and what style of house we wanted. Also to get an idea of what our money could buy us. Maybe 50 houses?

Then when we knew exactly what we wanted, we got ourselves a buyers' agent. We saw 25 or so more houses with her until we found our house.

By the end, you pretty much know from walking up the front steps whether you're interested or not. And you know from your first 2 minutes inside the house whether you want to put in an offer. It's a very emotional, "gut" thing - you feel it or you don't.

We searched long and hard, all over Nassau County, for five long years. Probably something like 50 homes.

A LOT. We went to open houses 2-4 a month for 6 months.
