finding a black buffet NOW is driving me nuts

I can't believe that i can't find a simple item for delivery NOW. homedecorators has one, but not available until march. the original one i wanted from JCPennys, I don't like anymore.
If i have to put it together, i am not spending more than 350.00, sorry, it's just an expensive piece of carp in my eyes.

anyone see anything recently?

only thing i saw was an actual dresser from peter andrews, but thats a 3 month wait!

UGH!

the one and only piece of furniture i NEED i can't find immediately. it's ridiculous!!

not sure if you are crafty/handy, but have you tried craigslist? i have seen some amazing transformations of old furniture from there.

I know the feeling...we purchased 2 tables, 1 new kitche and 1 diningroom and they are both backordered until late Jan. into early Feb.

Did you look for unpainted furniture stores near you? You cold fine something solid, and have it painted black. When I 've done this in the past, thing were either in stock in the store or ready for delivery from the manufacturer & you just have to wait if you want them to finish it.

Also, did you try Overstock & Ikea?

Try furnakit.com ... They have loc's in Franklin sq, holbrook, and copiage... Its hit or miss with what they have in stock but they have a pretty big selection of furniture... and no shipping charges or sales tax

i have looked everywhere online. overstock, jcpennys, macys, bobs, raymour, homedecorators. i thought about gothic (non finished wood), but then wondered, what do you have to do? put black paint then a varnish on it? i would love to do this.

i have been looking on craigslist 2X per day. i even posted a "wanted" ad on there.

furnikit--- look up buffets.. the only nice ones are like 500-800.00.. thats too much for a cheapo alternative, don't you think?

thanks for the suggestions! i need more of them. i was just on ashley furniture as i realized that was one spot i haven't gone to.

i'd LOVE to find something at home goods or marshalls, but to no avail there either.

i can't believe something so basic is so hard to find.....

thanks ladies! i took the plunge on homedecorators and today NOT YESTERDAY , this item has free shipping and handling. so this was definitely worth it.black buffet. . FINALLY!!
