Thin is in... Look how thin it is... Samsung TV 2010
LED, LCD and Plasma all going 3D this year. Do you really care or is this something you would want one day...

According to DH's brother...who has seen them (he was working a show)...he said they are AMAZING.

ESPN is coming out with a new network for HD 3D... And HBO is coming out with 3... LG, Sony and Samsung have lot's coming out this year... And lookout for all those Blu-ray 3D players coming soon...

Should I hold off on buying electronics until mid-year? We're planning on getting a few big ticket items this year and I was wondering if maybe we should wait until new stuff comes out...

I think it's kind of cool. DH and I were talking about this the other day. I was curious as to if TV's could be in 3D or not (was after we saw Avatar). He said they could be but that the technology would be very expensive. Do you have a link to an article or anything?

Oh yes, I wouldn't even think about getting a new TV right now... Everything is coming out with 1.4 HDMI and right now they are 1.3...

If there was an option to turn it off, I would get it. I got dizzy watching a few promos before Avatar last week.

It would have to have a 2D option. Just like non-HD shows can be displayed on an HD TV, because until 100% of shows switch to the new format, you'll have to watch the older style on the newer TVs.
Nobody is going to spend $$$ on a TV that you can only watch one channel on....

Id get nauseous. I can barely handle when DH plays video games on our 50 inch when they are 360 degrees. I'll pass.

DH just told me that the programs that ESPN and other channels are coming out with are compatible with the flat screen we (and many others) already have--so it isnt the TV that is 3d but the program
