How long did you stay in Vegas and what was your itinerary?
What's a good amount of nights to stay in Vegas? We currently booked a hotel to arrive Sunday morning and to leave Wednesday afternoon. do you think it is would be enough days to really enjoy Vegas? I am a little worried that it will nto be...
We plan on going to the O show on Sunday night since they are not performing on Monday and Tuesday.
So far, that's all we have so I would love to hear what everyone did
Edited because I misspelled itinerary. I mean I REAAALLY misspelled it

I think that is enough time.
I find that more than 4 nights in Vegas is too much for us (well we have only been 2x's) but both times while we had a lot of fun, at the end we were ready to go.
We saw shows, ate great meals, spent time at the hotel pool...and drank too much which is probably why we were ready to go after 3 or 4 nights.
Enjoy

We arrived on Monday and left on Thursday.
I think Vegas is a town where 5-7 days can feel like a lot. 3 nights/4 days wound up being the perfect amount of time for us, as first timers, when we went.
We did a lot of bars and gambling and just exploring the strip when we went. Didn't have a set itinerary or anything, just went with what we felt like during our stay.

Re: How long did you stay in Vegas and what was yoru autinirary?
first time i went got in monday night and left saturday morning - saw 2 shows - O and something else
second time i went got in late sunday and left friday saw 2 shows - Terry Fator and and Love by the Beatles.
Both times we didn't leave Vegas. the second time we did go on the local bus to the outlets so that took a couple of hours. it was grossly hot and overcrowded the second time we went so it was more of a relaxing vacation.
eta: we didn't have an itinerary other than seeing shows. we walked up and down the strip.

Re: How long did you stay in Vegas and what was yoru autinirary?
i've been to vegas a few times. i've been there for 7-9 days, but that was visiting family. just a vacation to see the strip, i would say 3-5 days at the most is enough time. you can book shows beforehand, but i think it's just as easy to get tickets when you get there also. you never know who might be in town that weekend!
you will need the extra day or 2 if you plan on going to lake tahoe, the hoover dam, etc outside of the city.
we are going this feb, from a friday to tuesday. we don't have anything booked yet, but i'm trying to convince DH since he's never been. i always enjoyed the impersonation shows!

Re: How long did you stay in Vegas and what was your itinerary?
Thank you, girls! Right now we have the dates set as Sunday, March 14th to Wednesday, March 17th. I would have loved to leave on Saturday but Dh is refusing to fly on the 13th! i am trying to convince him to leave on Friday night instead.
This is our first vacation without the kids in 5 years and I really want to enjoy it and possible stay a little extra time to just relax and explore and enjoy shows and restaurants (we are big foodies)
Dh has us booked at MGM tentatively-they had a great rate for the weekdays. Of course, the problem with staying over the weekend is that the hotel rates double. I really want to see the O show and the Crazy Horse, or may be Jubilee and check out a club or two. Any and all recommendations are welcomed!

Re: How long did you stay in Vegas and what was your itinerary?
I usually go for long weekends - 3 nights.
I think you have plenty of time to see most of Vegas. Vegas has awesome spas and nightlife.
Some of my favorite places:
Spas - Bellagio and Wynn Clubs - Tao and Tryst Shows - O, Zumanity
I feel a lot of the popular restaurants are overrated. I don't think I've ever had a great restaurant meal in Vegas.
Make sure you take comfortable walking shoes! The hotels may look close but they are pretty far apart from one another. I've walked back to my hotel barefoot one too many times.

Re: How long did you stay in Vegas and what was your itinerary?
I think it's enough time. We usually do a Thursday evening flight and a Sunday afternoon flight.
I once spent a full week there (DH came for the weekend and then I had a conference) and it was WAYYY too long. I had to get the heck out of there (then again I also thought I had the hangover from hell and it turned out I was just pregnant but that's another story )
