Anybody deliver at North Shore Plainview??
Did anyone deliver there? Can anyone give me some ideas of what to expect?

I delivered DD there in 2005 & I wasn't thrilled with the experience.

I know a girl who delivered there twice and absolutely loves it. She calls it "the hotel."

I delivered there in Jan. 09, and had a great experience. I had a private room, didn't have to pay extra for it. The nurses were all nice & helpful, and the nursery staff was great too.
Feel free to ask any specific questions.

A friend delivered there in November and got private room at no extra cost. She said the nurses were amazing. Her baby was a preemie with jaundice issues, was in the special care unit there for a week and my friend was very pleased with her care.

I hated it!! I had my other at Winthrop and LOVED IT!! Very different experience. I felt that the nurses were a bit more helpful and knowledgable at Winthrop. I felt it was more professional there as well

I delivered there last year and loved the personal care and attention that I recieved from the nurses.
I also had a private room for 4 days at no additional cost.
Its a wonderful hospital, its just very small compared to the other long island hospitals.
In all honesty it was a great experience.

I just delivered there in July of 2009. I was worried when I first went on the tour because I had my DD at Winthrop and that hospital was so nice. However, once I went into labor and met my L&D nurse, she was so helpful and sweet that all my nerves went away. The BF consultant there was fantastic and helped me a lot, along with all the nurses. They all fell in love with DS and never wanted to hand him over!!! All in all, it was a great experience...

I delivered there in October and the nurses are amazing!! They are the best nurses ever and they take great care of you.

Thanks so much ladies I delivered at Good Sam and have heard that last year this was the #1 rated hospital to deliver at. I was still kinda uneasy. I feel much better now!! Thanks again
