Is this normal- COD Fuel (& need reccomendations!)
I called Al's Oil Service last Thursday and they said they couldn't deliver until today and to call back today.
I called today and now they can't deliver until Wednesday.
They can't tell me how much it will be on Wednesday, which I guess I understand (they can't give me today's price), they also can't tell me when they will be there.
How is this possible? It's so unfair! They will come anytime between 9 and 5- both DH and I work!!
Is this the norm? Am I going to have to take days off of work to accept fuel deliveries?

Have you tried codfuel.com?
There are many options on there and if you are paying by credit card, you don't need to be home.

I always order my oil from Codfuel.com
Whoever is the cheapest is who I order from.........no commitments. It's great.
And you don't ever have to be home for the delivery.

Thanks everyone- since it was COD I didn't think I was able to use a CC- but I called back, and although it was 6 cents more/ gallon, it's still cheaper than even those on codfuel!

Definitely call someone else. DH called a bunch of places and got a quote, they will deliver tomorrow. That's a bunch of bull that they can't tell you what the price will be on Wednesday

we used oil king of long island for COD - came the next day and they were cheaper then the quotes we saw online

We use John's Fuel Oil...
I placed my order this morning at just before 9am....
The delivered around 11am...
They always seem to be comparable to the rest...
I dont call around any more b/c I like their drivers and their customer service..
